Development work in Egypt
The International Development White Paper set out how the UK is working with partners to:
- eliminate extreme poverty
- address climate change and biodiversity loss
- increase progress on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030
The UK does this through long-term partnerships tailored to the needs of each country the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office works with, founded on mutual accountability and transparency. The white paper builds on the UK Government’s International Development Strategy and the Integrated Review Refresh (IR23). These documents reiterate that sustainable development is central to UK foreign policy, and set out how the UK will go further and faster to reduce poverty.
For information on how the International Development White Paper is being implemented in Egypt, view the UK-Egypt development partnership summary.
For information on the UK’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) programme work in Egypt, view the Development Tracker.
